Are you feeling stressed and anxious? Many of us are often overwhelmed and worried about many things from our personal lives to the state of the world. You do not have to feel alone or helpless. We can work together to identify your stressors and develop specific, personal tools for you to manage your anxiety.
Living with a chronic illness is hard whether it is cancer, arthritis, heart disease, COPD, colitis, diabetes, or a rare disease. It takes an emotional toll. You feel uncertain, worried, stressed, anxious. Counseling can provide you with a safe place to focus on you. People who seek help report they feel better satisfaction and adjustment living with their disease.
Life is about change. Change can be difficult and challenging. It can also help you to become a better version of yourself. It can be one that has already happened in your work, career, relationship, or health. Or it can be a change you want to make whether you know what it is you want to change or you just want to explore what you would change with help to overcome your fears and self doubts.
Our identity sessions help you to explore your identity and its impact on your mental health and well-being. I help clients understand the ways in which their background shapes their beliefs and values, and work with them to develop strategies to manage stressors and build resilience.
Trauma therapy sessions are designed to help you heal from the effects of trauma, such as PTSD, childhood abuse, and sexual assault. I use evidence-based treatments to help process trauma and develop coping skills to manage symptoms.
I provide a safe and supportive space for LGBTQ+ to explore the unique challenges you face. I work with you to address issues such as coming out, family and relationship dynamics, and discrimination, and provide you with the tools you need to build a fulfilling and authentic life.
Addiction focused recovery can help you overcome substance use disorders and other addictive behaviors. I use evidence-based treatments, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to help identify triggers, develop coping skills, and maintain sobriety, as well as recovery.
Are you feeling unhappy as you deal with your life? It natural and even healthy to want to withdraw and take a break - for a time. If you are tired of being unhappy I can work with you to identify contemplative strategies to help you move through and live with your suffering.
Grief and loss therapy can help you process the emotional pain of losing a loved one or experiencing other significant losses. I provide you with a supportive and compassionate space to express your feelings and work through the grieving process.
